Review highlights
Based on 2,850 reviewsReviews of Melt Gourmet Cheeseburgers consistently highlight the quality and flavor of their burgers, which are praised for being well-cooked to customer preferences, including accurate doneness levels like medium rare. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes and house-made rolls, as well as the tasty sides, notably crispy sweet potato fries. The signature sauces and unique toppings add a distinctive touch, though some customers suggest clearer menu descriptions for specialty ingredients. While prices are considered slightly on the higher end, many find the overall experience and burger quality worth it. The restaurant’s atmosphere is described as vibrant and busy, with some noting the communal effort to maintain tidiness. Additionally, Melt is commended for community involvement and supporting local causes, enhancing its appeal beyond just food quality.
I’m taking one star away because I had such high expectations from the reviews in Tripadvisor and Google. We went in for lunch and the restaurant was totally packed, still we were able to get a table for three before our food was ready. If the customers can clean after themselves instead relying on the staff to come and clean then tables can be available quicker. The size of the burger is pretty big. Sure would recommend it.
4.75. Very good burgers. Cooked medium rare as ordered. Very good fries. Like the signature sauce. Very good rolls made in house. Ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger w/ fried onions. Fried onions are pickled. I didn't like them. Would have not added the onions if I knew they were pickled (this may have been disclosed somewhere but I didn't really read a menu). Burgers are big. A bit pricy. 2 burgers, fries, and 2 drinks was almost $50. Glad we went to try it while passing through Leesburg. Would definitely go again if in the area but wouldn't go out of the way or make a special trip for it. If it were local to me Melt would definitely be in our regular rotation.
Delicious hamburger and side! I think it’s the best in this area. Very well cooked The side was sweet potatoes that were quite crispy and delicious as well. There was some white sweet cream beside the dish( as seen in this photo) which we didn’t recognize but might be kind of dessert or a sauce for sweet potatoes maybe. We ordered one Philly Berger with sweet potatoes that was quite enough for two people The place is cozy but not fancy
What a cool place! The burgers, fries and onion rings are amazing! And the burgers are actually cooked nicely. I ordered medium and got medium! Get some cookies to go. They are pretty big - I could only eat half and saved the rest for the next today. Delicious! And to top it off, they help to raise funds for local resues and the Loudoun shelter. Lots of cute pictures of dogs and cats up for adoption!
The burgers were money. They are cooked to you style (medium, medium rare, well done...). Someone recommended this place to me and said he liked it better than another burger place in Reston. I have to say, the bacon...yummy, real, giant on both length and width. They mentioned the bison burger, but I started out with a baseline burger for my first try. A bacon burger with everything. I wanted to baseline this place before experimenting. The buns taste fresh for the day and add to the burger. It was too big to fit the whole burger in your mouth in one bite. The fries were enough for two people so get one order. The only thing I didnt like was the cookie. I was told it was made fresh and when I took it home I couldn't even break the cookie. Can I get my 3.50 back? I am not made though because the burger is so worth it. If you go to a burger joint get the burger. Rookie move on my part, but I think if this is the norm they should stop selling the cookie. Can I have a redo the next time I am in for the desserts. We did get the milk shake it taste good. My child compared it to Dumsers. The only hiccup, where is semi frozen. Maybe that's a regional thing not sure, but in the south we like it thick or icee despite if it is the winter. Your choice. Good taste but really a milky shake. Stick to the main course, burgers and fries and I know you will know it was worth the trip.
Fantastic burgers! The patty was like half a pound and it was juicy. Medium rare cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Fries and the sauce were also great. The line got really busy after we ordered, seems like a really popular spot for lunch on a weekend. Not a lot of indoor seating, but the still a good overall atmosphere.
It's incredible when you see how many options there are on the menu! This place deserves the hype. The classic burger was tasty. We had it with the blue cheeze fries which were decadent. The only down side is limited seating, but that adds to the mystique.
This is a great burger place with hand made fresh burgers. They do have chicken and veggie options too. The buns are great appear to be freshly made. The toppings were good and a bit expensive but worth the money. They were busy but we got our food fast and hot. The fries looked really good but we tried the onions rings and they were great.
